Every item of clothing and every book given is turned into money for our children.
We will collect from your house or school as many bags or boxes as you care to give.

Money – every cent or penny you donate helps towards the costs of opening a new shop which will multiply your donation many times over. Each shop we open can make enough profit annually to run a Rural Youth Centre providing health, educational and recreational facilities for hundreds of disadvantaged children. Each shop costs between R100,000 and R200,000 to set up and then there is rent to pay and staff and transport costs for collecting stock. The more shops we have the more money we make. The more money we make the more social projects we can fund. The more projects we fund the more rural children we help to break out of the poverty trap. Come and work in one of our shops – every hour you give to help in the running of our shops will increase the income the shop can make. Just 4 hours a week is all we ask. Come and help sort books and clothes or serve customers. Come and meet other volunteers and our lovely staff who will always make you welcome with a cup of tea and a biscuit! It is a great way to meet people, to learn some new skills, increase your career prospects and, of course, to help rural children.
